Ban an IP from accessing my site

*This article assumes you are already logged into CPanel*

In Cpanel there is an icon labeled as IP Deny Manager. Click on it.

On this page you will see 2 boxes. These are:

IP Address
Remove an IP Deny

In the first box this is where you will enter the IP which you wish to deny access to your website. Once doing so, click on the button labeled as Add. Once you have done so you will be taken to a new page telling you that the IP has been denied access to your website.

The box labeled as Remove an IP Deny will show a list of all currently banned IP's. If you wish to remove a banned IP, click on the drop down box, select the IP to remove and then click on the button labeled as Remove. This will take you to a new page telling you that the IP has been successfully removed.

:: CAUTION ::

Using the Cpanel IP ban will write to your .htaccess file, usually at the bottom of the .htaccess file, so if you have a custom .htaccess file and you dont want it to get messed up or you want to edit it manually, then simply add the following code to it manually

"deny from 00.00.00.00" (Change the zero's to the actual IP you want to ban)
