If you wish to transfer your domain name to WESH UK then please
follow these instructions carefully in order to prepare for the transfer.

Stage 1:

You should ensure that your domain name contact email address is up to date and the admin contact email address is set to your email and not your registrars, or the previous hosting company, otherwise a transfer will fail. You can check your current details by visiting http://www.dnsstuff.com and typing in your domain name in the WHOIS Lookup box, this will show you the current details registered against your domain name, if available.

Some hosting companies do not allow you to update this info yourself so you will have to contact your current hosting company if any of your details have changed since you first registered the name and ask them to update it. It is highly recommended that you stick to using your internet providers email account so that you can be contacted if your domain name develops any problems during transfer.

Stage 2

Once your details have been updated you can then go ahead and initiate your domain name transfer but please read the various instructions in our knowledgebase according to what domain extension you are transferring.

If you are also transferring your website to WESH UK then it is recommended that you purchase hosting only in advance so that you may upload your website to our servers and setup your incoming email in advance of your website visitors then transfer the domain afterwards.

If you are a customer of 1and1, please ask them to change your nameservers first to ours, then only cancel your account when you have uploaded your website to our servers, otherwise you will be without a working website for a few days. (This is an admin issue with 1and1)
