DOMAINS SHOULD BE MORE THAN 60 DAYS OLD BEFORE TRANSFERRING!

If you are moving your website to WESH UK with your .uk name then this needs to be done in 2 stages as listed below.

If you are transferring a website to us along with a .co.uk domain name then you will need to purchase web hosting with us in advance. When purchasing our web hosting, select hosting only without a domain (I will use My Existing Domain and update My Nameservers only).

We will then activate your account for you and email you all the account details so that you can upload your website to our servers, setup email accounts, databases, and anything else you wish to transfer in advance.

Stage 1 - Re-point your DNS

If you want your .uk name to point to our hosting, you will need to go back to your current domain registration company account & change your domain name DNS Name Servers.

If you do not have the access to change the nameservers then simply contact the domain registrar and ask them to change the nameservers to that found in your welcome email, or here on our helpdesk. Once this has been done, allow 72 hours for DNS to update properly around the world before initiating the transfer of your domain name.

Stage 2 - Order transfer and change TAG

Now that the DNS has been changed, you need to place your order for a domain name transfer through our website @ www.wesh.co.uk/customer.services/cart.php (Domain registration) without selecting any hosting package (Unless you wish to purchase hosting space to accompany your domain name or have some with us already)

When you reach the final stage of the order simply enter your current login details for our billing system (If you already have hosting or other domains with us) to add the domain transfer to your account or just complete the order form if you are a new customer.

As soon as you have completed your order, you will then need to change your domain name's TAG to "ENOM". Some hosting companies do not allow you to do this yourself so you should contact their support department to have them do it for you.

Some hosts may also ask you to fill out a form and fax it to them giving your authorisation to transfer the .uk name & supplying the new details. If you need any assistance at this stage, let us know, were here to help.

Once this is done, you will receive an email from us within 7 days to let you know if your transfer has been successful, and if it has, your domain name will now be managed WESH UK and we will bill you for it in 2 year increments from its next renewal date.

If the TAG on your .uk name is not changed within 7 days, the transfer will fail and we will let you know by email, at which point you will need to ask the losing registrar to change the TAG again, and just let us know the same day.
