Well, every add-on domain that your customers setup within their web site control panel will automatically create a directory of the same name within their public web space for them to upload all of the files for that website and as long as the domain name is set to our name servers, your customers will not need to do anything else.
Your customers add-on domain will look and behave exactly like its own seperate website and the only difference is that their new add-on domain's website will share the disk space, mailbox quota's and monthly bandwidth of their web hosting account.

How many addon domains should I give my customers?
This is entirely down to you and how you set out your structure of hosting plans, but as a rough guide, you really would not want to allocate more than around 10 simply due to the fact that managing more than this through 1 cpanel account can become complicated, and you may wind up with your customers making many mistakes and needing your support a lot more.
